Astronomical evidence
Kepler-442 b is a transiting planet around a cooler-than-Sun host. Transit depth constrains its size relative to the star, while the inferred energy environment depends on the stellar properties and orbital distance. [1,2] These measurements are relevant to possible climates but do not establish vegetation, water or a moon. The companion table preserves the catalog's calculated-value labels and uncertainties. The meadow and nearby satellite are artistic assumptions.
The illustrated viewpoint
Distant ivory-crested alien with a moss-grey cloak, viewed from behind in meditation. A hypothetical meadow on Kepler-442 b beneath an invented moon. The meadow, vegetation, sky, atmosphere, moon and being are fictional. The planet's radius comes from transit measurements; the landscape does not establish a composition or climate. The large pale satellite has no observational confirmation or tested orbit.

The large pale satellite has no observational confirmation or tested orbit. All beings and cultures are fictional. Apparent sizes, phases and exposure are artistic, not a calibrated sky simulation. Cosmic connection is a visual theme, not an observed biological mechanism.
Catalog measurements & sources
Host: Kepler-442. Snapshot: 25 September 2026. Errors, limits and source provenance are retained. Calculated values and model estimates are not direct measurements. Unknown is not zero; equilibrium temperature is not surface temperature.
