The Quiet Dunes

Astronomical evidence

Kepler-62 f was found by transits, which measure how much stellar light a crossing planet blocks. That method constrains radius relative to the host star; it does not reveal dunes, oceans or moons. The saved catalog retains source-specific radius and period measurements and a mass upper limit. [1] A habitable-zone classification concerns incident stellar energy under assumptions, rather than proof of a habitable surface. The satellite and quiet desert shown here are fictional. [2]

The illustrated viewpoint

Small black-armored alien with a swept-back crest and sand-colored cloak, seen from behind in meditation. A speculative dry surface of Kepler-62 f beneath a fictional moon. The dunes, atmosphere, solid surface appearance, moon and warrior are hypothetical. The large cratered moon is unconfirmed; its size and orbit are not constrained or dynamically validated. The catalog mass limit must not be read as a precise measured mass.

The catalog mass limit must not be read as a precise measured mass. All beings and cultures are fictional. Apparent sizes, phases and exposure are artistic, not a calibrated sky simulation. Cosmic connection is a visual theme, not an observed biological mechanism.

Catalog measurements & sources

Host: Kepler-62. Snapshot: 25 September 2026. Errors, limits and source provenance are retained. Calculated values and model estimates are not direct measurements. Unknown is not zero; equilibrium temperature is not surface temperature.
