Astronomical evidence
Kepler-16 b is a gas giant orbiting both stars of an eclipsing binary. Transit timing and the system's combined orbital geometry constrain its size and motion. The saved catalog records a period of 228.776 days, with +0.020/−0.037 day errors. [1,2] A foreground landscape cannot be the ordinary surface of this giant. The image therefore explicitly imagines a separate solid moon. No vegetation, moon or atmospheric portrait is established by the observations.
The illustrated viewpoint
Small dark-armored humanoid with a narrow fin crest, seen entirely from behind in meditation. An open silver grassland on a fictional moon of Kepler-16 b. The moon, grasslike vegetation, atmospheric haze, engraved stones and warrior are fictional. The parent giant is in the sky, not beneath the terrain. Its cloud structures, color, phase and angular diameter are illustrative. Both host stars are outside the frame; the sky does not reconstruct an observing date.
All beings and cultures are fictional. Apparent sizes, phases and exposure are artistic, not a calibrated sky simulation. Cosmic connection is a visual theme, not an observed biological mechanism.
Catalog measurements & sources
Host: Kepler-16. Snapshot: 25 September 2026. Errors, limits and source provenance are retained. Calculated values and model estimates are not direct measurements. Unknown is not zero; equilibrium temperature is not surface temperature.
